Chapter 1
Jade growled in frustration. "Where's the door?!" she yelled, running on the
top of the train. Francesca's eyes began to spin as her friend ran in circles.
"Francesca, where is it!" she yelled again, shaking her blond friend.
"On the side. . . ." Francesca mumbled. Jade rolled her eyes and flipped over
the side, kicking the heavy metal door. "No one's going to hear you," Francesca
told her, leaning over the side. But then the door slid open, and Jade smirked at her.
"Or maybe someone will."
"Jade!" Timmy's joyful voice said loudly, but with the roaring of the train, it
sounded almost like a whisper.
Jade grabbed Francesca's wrist and pulled her down, wrapping her arm from her wrist to
around her waist. She jumped inside and smiled at Timmy. "Thanks."
"No problem." Gabriel shut the door and watched Jade talk to Timmy, laughing and
making obscene jokes.
Timmy was short, five foot two, but unbeleivably cute. He had straight, dark brown hair
cut to his ears and hanging in his eyes. His complexion was perfect, and his light brown
eyes were always sparkling, matching his smile. Full, handsome eyebrows he made a light
blond. He stood out all right, but his attitude was strange compared to a normal person.
Extremely humorous, but in a sick, twisted way. He thought rape was hilarious, and loved
blood and fighting. Anyone who didn't know him would think of him as sick, but completely
straight. Not so. Timmy had loved both genders ever since the kidnergarten. His sense of
humor and bisexual attitude mixed togather had often gotten him suspended. No one could
beleive this handsome, twisted, bisexual boy was fifteen.
Timmy caught Gabriel glancing at him, and winked, causing Jade to burst out in laughter.
Gabriel scowled. He was straight, and completely so. Timmy knew he hated those looks, yet
he did them anyway.
Gabriel himself was tall, one of the tallest guys in the group. He was just three inches
short of six with a lean figure, and eighteen. He had black hair bleached at the top,
making him stand out amazingly so. His eyes were almost scary; stern, and dark blue with
gold around the irises. Instead of black, if one looked closely, his pupils would be dark
brown or dark grey, depending on how they caught in the light.
"Gabriel has no sense of humor." Timmy's comment caught his attention and he
glared at the shorter boy, and was obviously ignored. "He has no fun, he doesn't
fight, and he doesn't even like sex."
Gabriel grabbed the shorter boy by the shoulders and shook him slightly. "You want to
know why I don't fight, newbie?" he asked softly. Timmy smirked. He was the newest
member of Silver Blood.
"Hush, people are staring!" Jade hissed. Gabriel looked at her, looking into her
feirce, emerald green eyes, and slowly let go of the boy. Her smile of satisfaction was
worth not killing the new kid.
"Gabriel loves Jaaaade!" Timmy sang loudly. Gabriel growled and started shaking
Timmy again, more violently this time. "Shut up! You're one to talk!"
Timmy waggled his eyebrows. "I don't know. You seem attractive enough to me."
Jade snickered.
"Bastard!" Gabriel yelled. He locked his eyes on the boy and suddenly Timmy
seemed to be having convulsions. His body jerked around oddly.
"That's enough!" Jade hissed. "We need him on the team, so you let him go
this instant, Gabriel Matthews!"
He groaned inwardly. When Jade used his last name, Jade meant business. He dropped Timmy
on the floor, and he lay there for a few more minutes, jerking around. Finally he shook
his head and sat up and laughed oddly. "That was cool! Do it again!"
"My pleasure. . . ." Gabriel muttered.
"Don't you even!" Jade glared at him. He sighed and leaned back in his seat.
Francesca seemed nervous for some reason. She looked from Jade to Gabriel every once in
awhile. *I hope they're not an item,* she thought nervously.
"There it is," Jade murmured, looking out her window. Gabriel followed her gaze
and recognized her ruined birth home. "You know, I hardly remember anything before
the attack," she continued. "I only remember my father. He was kind, and was
always warning me to never get angry at my friends. But it happened, and that's how I
found my power soon enough."
"And that's why the Stokar's attacked you. Because of your power," Francesca
said softly.
Jade smiled weakly. "I miss Nicholas. . . ." she said, her voice shaking
slightly. "He was my best friend, and now he's turned against me for my power."
Timmy grinned. "Maybe he liked you for your body. Who says friends can't be in
love?"
Jade laughed. Timmy's odd jokes always made her feel better for some reason. "Well,
maybe."
Suddenly the train screeched to a stop. Gabriel glanced over Francesca's seat and saw
Stokars. "They found us. . . ." he growled.
"Who?" Jade turned in her seat and peered in the direction of Gabriel's gaze.
"Oh . . . damn," she cursed. She cursed louder when Nicholas saw her.
"Go!" Francesca screamed, bolting up and grabbing Jade's hand. She dragged her
out to the back car where they had entered.
But Timmy and Gabriel stayed behind.
"Don't even try to stop us," Nicholas warned, sizing up first Timmy, then
Gabriel.
Timmy's eyebrows twitched in that annoying way Gabriel hated. "Hey, Jade was
right," he laughed.
"You idiot!" Gabriel hissed, but Nicholas raised an eyebrow, silently
questioning the smaller boy.
"You ARE quite handsome." This time Gabriel had to laugh. The effect Timmy's
comment took of the Stokar soldier was just too much.
"I told you one of 'em was a bi," another soldier whispered, shuddering.
"He came on to me in our last fight."
Timmy saw him and grinned. "Sexy!" The Stokar soldier gave a yelp and hid behind
Nicholas.
Gabriel took the chance to capture Nicholas' gaze. He stared into the man's eyes, and
suddenly the other guy dropped to the floor just like Timmy had, but was jerking much more
violently.
"Awesome," Timmy said almost admiringly. Gabriel roled his eyes as the other
Stokars started trying to stop their leader from having a seizure right in the middle of
their mission.
"Let's go now," Gabriel murmured, running out the same way Francesca and Jade
had.
Timmy smirked and followed him, humming an old *N Sync song. "Ain't no lie, baby bi,
bi, bi." He laughed at the way he twisted the lyrics.
"Sick child needs help. . . ." Gabriel muttered.
"Thanks." Timmy wiggled his brows again, and Gabriel glared at him.
"You two are insane." Jade's giggle sounded behind them. "Are we
safe?"
"For now."
She glaced at the door, and ran over to it. She jerked it open and yelled, "We have
to jump off here! The train doesn't stop near headquarters anymore!" The other three
grouped behind her.
"I'm scared to jump," Francesca whimpered.
"And I want a ride in the front seat." Timmy's eyes roamed over Jade's chest.
Jade laughed.
"Okay, but just this once, little perv." Timmy grinned and she wrapped an arm
around his stomach.
Francesca felt Gabriel looking at her. "I'll jump, I'll jump!" she yelled
irritably. He nodded and watched as Jade jumped out. Francesca followed, and he just stood
there for another minute. Finally, his hand gripped the side, and he pushed himself out.
Right before he hit the concrete wrong, he thought, *I have to protect Jade.*
Then he landed hard on his knee, accidently rolled over, and his head smacked against the
ground. He felt pain course through his skull, and warmth of blood in his hair.
"Gabriel!" he heard someone scream.
*Jade. . . .* he thought. Then he went limp and almost died.
Jade screamed out his name, and set down Timmy. They both ran over to him, Timmy looking
surprised and almost laughing, Jade upset and charging up. She knelt next to his and
rested a hand on his head, stopping the blood before he lost too much.
"We'll fix him up when we get to headquaters," Timmy said. Jade nodded and they
both had to carry him there. Francesca followed, extremely upset now. Both boys were
stopping her from admitting her love to Jade and she hated it!
*I'll get my chance soon,* she thought. *Jade, I love you.*
